Mainstream Media Viewership Plummets after Russian Hoax Disproven by Mueller — But They Don’t Care

We’ve seen Tucker Carlson at FOX and even President Trump call out the fact that the media has lost enormous swaths of viewers after getting caught in the Russian hoax lie. It’s no surprise; one has to question why the media would lie about “Russian collusion” when Glenn Simpson, founder of Fusion GPS, gave sworn testimony that he personally discussed the dossier with media journalists. We know the media had access to the phony “evidence” long before even some government officials. According to the Real Clear Investigations, Democratic operatives led by led by Daniel J. Jones, a former FBI investigator, Clinton administration volunteer and top staffer to California Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein, were even giving “collusion briefings” to journalists at mainstream outlets.

These claims, however, demand evidence — many Americans wish to see the media establishment pay the price for their actions in this scandal. Today, we’re going to look at media viewership numbers and provide solid evidence for the claim, in hopes that we can arm ourselves against the still-brainwashed masses (or Rachel Maddow fans).

Our statistics come from the websites ShowBuzzDaily.com and TVNewser.com, by way of Twitter user @RoadMN. @RoadMN compiles and shares each day’s statistics in easy to read and clean graphics. I highly recommend following his feed.

Friday, March 22nd, 2019 — Investigation End Announced

On Friday evening at approximately 4:45 PM, the Department of Justice announced that the Special Counsel investigation had ended. Therefore, only the evening statistics would be affected by this news. An increase in total viewers for all networks should be evident here as Americans tune in to hear the latest rumors and news on Mueller’s findings. The audience share of total viewers from 6AM – 11:59PM was 44.1% FOX, 37.1% MSNBC, and 18.7% CNN. We saw a rise in the number of viewers across all networks.

For morning shows, FOX’s Fox and Friends received 50% of viewer share (1.66 million total), MSNBC’s Morning Joe received 33% of viewer share (1.09 million total), and CNN’s New Day received 17% of viewer share (568k total). This is fairly typical.

For primetime, Fox’s Hannity received 38% of audience share (3.13 million total), CNN’s Anderson Cooper received 20% of audience share (891k total), and MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow received 39% of audience share (2.9 million total).

Interestingly, late night in the 25-54 year old demographic, FOX’s Ingraham Angle had 41% of viewers (2.43 million total) while CNN’s Don Lemon only received 24% of viewers (886k total).

Monday, March 25nd, 2019

On Monday, March 25, after Mueller’s investigation ended and Barr’s letter was released to the public, FOX News had more total viewers and 25-54 year old demographic viewers than both MSNBC and CNN combined. The audience share of total viewers on Monday was 56% FOX, 29.1% MSNBC, and 14.9% CNN.

The shows with the biggest viewership in the 25-54 year old demographic were Tucker Carlson, The Five, The Ingraham Angle, Bret Baier, Sean Hannity, and Shannon Bream. The shows with the smallest viewership in the 25-54 year old demographic were Chris Cuomo, Anderson Cooper, Wolf Blitzer, Cuck Todd, and Chris Hayes.

For morning shows, FOX’s Fox and Friends received 56% of viewer share (1.95 million total), MSNBC’s Morning Joe received 30% of viewer share (1.05 million total), and CNN’s New Day received 14% of viewer share (491k total).

The Aftermath — Tuesday, March 7th and Beyond

FOX remains at the top

Combining the pie charts together for a more cohesive look, you can see a steady increase in Fox’s viewership over the week as the public learned the truth about the Russian hoax. Fox’s piece of the pie starting Monday has been growing bigger than CNN & MSNBC’s combined. You can also see that total viewership increased on Monday as Americans tuned in to find out the news about Barr’s letter to Congress and its’ aftermath.

The chart below compiles total viewers of all three networks in January 2019, and again in March 2019 post-Special Counsel. The charts show the obvious financial motivation CNN & MSNBC had to mislead Americans for as long as possible. Once the fraud of the Russia hoax was discovered, their viewer counts collapsed and therefore, so does their ad revenue. See CNN’s red plot line hovering on the one million mark in January; in March, it’s half that. In the critical 25-54 year old demographic, CNN’s viewer count doesn’t even hit the 200,000 mark in the early afternoons.

Excuses, excuses

CNN claims that FOX News’s ratings are surging ahead because it’s “a slow news week,” despite Jussie Smollett, Mueller, Avenatti, and other big stories in the media this week:

CNN claims that Fox News is destroying them in ratings because it’s been a slow news week.

Earlier this week, President Trump hosted a Congressional Medal of Honor ceremony to honor the family and son of Staff Sgt. Travis W. Atkins, who was killed during his service in Iraq. MSNBC and anchor Nicolle Wallace decided that their hate for Trump trumped (pun intended) their sense of patriotism, choosing not to air the Medal of Honor presentation. Nicolle Wallace, the anchor of Deadline: White House, also banned airing clips of White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

MSNBC’s Refusal to Air Medal of Honor Ceremony Shows How Petty Disdain For Trump Clouds News Judgment

As flagged by the Washington Free Beacon, MSNBC was the only one of the three big cable networks to not carry live the Medal of Honor ceremony for the late Staff Sgt. Travis W. Atkins. Atkins was killed in Iraq on June 1, 2007 after he fought a suicide bomber in hand-to-hand combat and shielded his troops from the blast.
